Hey there!

My Name is BG

I'm a Florida native that moved to San Francisco with a creative spirit, eager to see where my career can take me. My journey began in storytelling and animation development, but it was in user experience and interaction design that I discovered my true passion.

My Career so far

Currently, I am part of the CSE team at SonicWall, where I help drive the efforts needed to elevate the team in alignment with SonicWall’s broader vision. Since joining, I have focused on bringing the CSE platform up to speed following the acquisition, transforming its usability and visual design to seamlessly align with the brand’s next phase. In doing so, I guide the engineering team on best practices and work to unify the user experience across products.

Before this, I was a valuable member of the CloudVision team at Arista Networks, contributing to a product utilized by prestigious companies such as SpaceX, WellsFargo, Pepsi, NFL, Lego, Microsoft, Disney, and many others. I supported Arista’s strong customer support efforts, ensuring the platform’s scalability and suitability for businesses of all sizes.

My team went from me and one other in Dublin to twelve incredible designers. I helped establish the foundation of designs' importance in CloudVison as well as help establish it's brand over the years.

Some fun hobbies, facts about me and who I am.

I'm pretty down to earth but sometimes you'll catch my curiosity in the clouds.
Adobe Creative Jam
  • Prompt: Space
    2nd Place (2018)
  • The point of the hackathon was to think outside of the realms of humanities current constraints and think more to the future. We only had 4 hours.
  • Our app was teleportation. Ordering a session, navigating to the pad and the after experience.
Framatone
  • Prompt: Managing nuclear reactors and their health is very manual and causes the company to fly around the country too often. This is expensive and difficult to manage. How might we fix this?
    (1st Place 2019)
  • We had 48 hours to create an interface that could help spark a feature to be funded. My team and I from Sofriendly created a mobile application that anyone at each of the sites can easily manage and input data. It was important to the customer that some employees would still need to fly out so choosing a mobile app to be easily accessed anywhere was much more feasible than a web application.

Hackathons

Love them! I think they're a great way to push the limits of creativity with a team.
